British WW1 Mills Grenade No. 5 1916 inert/display

WW1 British Mills Grenade No 5, It is a very rare version produced by a French manufactures aka "Dunkirk" Grenade. It is marked J.P.M, with Base plug marked No. 5 Messenger & Sons, dated Feb 1916    
In excellent condition and fully inert.

The No 5 was the first model of the Mills and basically the debut of an effective hand thrown devices in modern warfare, and produced in mass quantities.
A great artifact sample from the great war.
