German WWII K98k Bayonet (S84/98 III pattern), manufactured by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. Serial number 2613 k, with bayonet and scabbard matching. The blade retains its original wartime blued finish and single-fuller configuration. There is a small nick along the cutting edge—minor and not affecting structural integrity or display.
Equipped with brown-black Bakelite grip panels, intact crossguard, and a fully functional release button. The pommel bears a clear Waffenamt inspection mark “WaA253” with eagle, confirming official German Army acceptance. The WaA253 proof identifies production in the 1940–1941 acceptance period for Carl Eickhorn, placing this example firmly in early-war manufacture.
Includes the original blued steel scabbard and a period wartime leather frog. Stitching, rivets, and leather construction are consistent with German Army frogs produced circa 1940–1942. The frog stamp is partially worn from age, but construction characteristics confirm it is not a postwar reproduction.
A well-preserved, matching-number WWII K98k bayonet set with correct factory and acceptance marks.
