Manufacturer Mark: The blade is clearly stamped "SCHRADE-WALDEN N.Y. U.S.A." (visible in one of the close-up images). Schrade-Walden Cutlery Corp. was the name of the company after 1946 when the Schrade Cutlery Co. merged with the Walden Knife Co. The use of this stamp indicates the knife was likely made between 1946 and 1973, when the company name changed to Schrade Cutlery Corporation.
- Model Number: The number "147" is visible stamped near the guard on the ricasso of the blade. This is the model number for this particular style of fixed blade knife.
- Design: It features a clip-point or upswept blade shape, a typical design for hunting knives.
- Handle: It has a classic stacked leather washer handle, a very common and durable design for Schrade fixed blades.
- Pommel/Butt Cap: The aluminum or metal pommel has a distinctive birds-beak or hooked shape.
- Sheath: The leather sheath, stamped "MADE IN U.S.A.", appears to be the original style, and one image shows an embossed design with a Boy Scouts of America-like emblem, which sometimes appeared on Schrade sheaths, or it may have been an aftermarket or Boy Scout-issued sheath for a knife of this type.
