Custom forged Viking Sword

Custom made hand forged Viking sword made by Murilo Ferreira.

Petersen type R hilt with hand engraved Scandinavian knot work based off a 10th century find currently housed at the Viking Museum Haithabu in Busdorf Germany. Blade is an Oakeshott  type 10 Geibig variant 4 typology.

Blade is 28" long made of forged 5160 high carbon spring steel. full- through tang. grip is bone. Guard and pommel are bronze. pommel is historically correct 2 piece construction with decorative twisted wire accents.

scabbard is wood lined, leather wrapped with belt and custom chape, belt fittings, and bridge accent.
