Personally never trusted the friction (rubber) or elastic (fabric) retaining shell holders.
Rubber hardens in the cold, end up loosing shells when walking in the woods, slinged on the back or strapped to a backpack.

Been testing this spring loaded shell holder for over a year now and liking it a lot.

Very easy to reload from since there is no friction slowing down the shells. Spring is deactivated by the thumb's natural position when drawing shells and nothing will be pushed off by clothing or gear accidentally.

Easy to install via 3M double sided adhesive, does not affect normal field strip and can be removed by prying with gentle heat (hair dryer or heat gun).
