Exceptional Smith & Wesson *ANTIQUE*

For your consideration, an exceptionally nice S&W 1st. Mod. DA in .44 Russian.  This is an obvious re-blue and after market genuine stag grips have been fitted.  Most importantly, the mechanics are excellent!  Advance, timing, lock up, half-cock, and single and double action.  Of note, there's no problem with "force off" which is a common issue with these old revolvers.  The cylinder, frame, and barrel latch all have matching serial numbers.  For whatever reason these 5"barrel models seem to be more desirable than the 6".  I had originally thought to keep this one but I have a line on an exceptional New Mod.#3.   The bore is very good but not perfect and I would conservatively rate it as an 8/10 and the chambers as a 9/10.  It also comes with a decent holster. This should be an excellent shooter.
