I have a Long Branch No 4 Mk 1* built in 1945. It has a 5 groove barrel, Canadian Walnut furniture with appropriate markings and all LB marked metal parts. Buttplate is steel. Bolt and receiver numbers match. I believe the rifle has been refurbished at some point as it is really nice overall, but the bluing appears original.
It comes with a really nice wartime dated Canadian sling and a Long Branch marked bayonet with Canadian marked web frog. Oiler and pull included as well. The rifle ia located in the Okanagan Valley.
This rifle has a pitted bore with intact lands. This is most likely is the result of corrosive primers. It shows great but keep in mind the bore is lightly pitted.
