This listing will be sold as a single lot, consisting of a rare low serial number Danish Receiver and a rare Mk2 Mod1  barrel chambered in 308. Both parts are in exceptionally nice condition, rated as-new.

Italian Pietro Beretta manufactured Garand receiver for Danish Army, under Danish military designation Gevær m/50. One of the only 8000 produced by Beretta and one of the only 16,000 produced by Beretta and Breda combined for Danish Army.

Danish property marked FKF. Three-digit number #739. The receiver saw very limited wear, and has been the best conditioned Beretta production low serial I have personally ever seen.

Original US Navy Garand Mk2 Mod1 barrel chambered in 308. One of the only 3,750 newly manufactured 308 barrel that Harrington & Richardson ever converted for US Navy. The chamber inserts on those previous Mk2 Mod0 designated barrels didn’t really work and was eventually deemed too dangerous to shoot by US Navy, thus the newly manufactured from the beginning Mk2 Mod1 barrels became the only safe to shoot non-converted 308 Garand barrels that has the original barrel contour as the 30-06 barrels, which means no other parts on the gun will need to be modified.

This particular barrel has a bright bore & sharp rifling with absolutely no signs of rust or corrosion in the bore. The muzzle and breech are in exceptionally nice condition and there shows almost no wear caused by the op-rod underneath the barrel, which suggests the barrel was likely never shot.

This is currently the only Mk2 Mod1 barrel that exists in Canada, that I know of.

I am sadly letting both rare & exceptionally nice conditioned Garand components departing from my personal collection due to a likely permanent suspension of a project, and I could potentially need a bit extra cash in the near future.

Pick ups could be arranged in Thornhill, ON., and I could ship to anywhere in Canada at buyer’s expense.

PAL required for purchasing this lot.

Thank you for looking!
