Winchester model 1892 in the greatest caliber going for an old lever gun........44-40..!
This rifle sports a magnificent bore, bright and shiny with good crisp rifling, no dark spots or pitting present. Mechanically it is in excellent condition and should shoot like intended. The metal finish is all but disappeared, with the exception of the mag which is quite good and some areas on the barrel holding some blue. The wood appears original, front and back are good and solid without any extra holes, however there are 2 small cracks on either side of the wrist area on the butt stock. Date of manufacture 1916. If you have been looking for a great shooter in 44-40 this is the one.
