GORGEOUS EARLY BROWNING SEMI-AUTO 22 WITH WHEEL SIGHT. First introduced in 1956, these fine semi-auto 22 rifles are precisely made and still in demand. This gun was made in 1959 and the serial number, T54073, is stamped on the metal magazine stop plate inlet into the rear of the butt stock, which was the practice in 1958 to 1960. An assembly number, T59944, is stamped on the front of both receiver and trigger assembly and another assembly number, 79, is stamped on the inside top of the butt plate and written in yellow crayon on the rear of the butt stock. The distinctive 4-step wheel adjustment rear sight, referred to as the "Wheel Sight", was only used until 1960 and is a sought after feature. A 4 power Bushnell 22 sight is mounted using a Browning base.
