Up for sale is a uncommonly seen Lee Enfield variant, a CLLE or Charger Loading Lee Enfield. Converted from Long lee (Metford or Enfield) rifles, these had their dust covers removed, charger bridge installed, and sights upgraded to be similar to the SMLE. Primarily used by British naval forces in WW1. This one is EY marked, meaning for Emergency Use, as is pretty typical on these (generally rear line rifles). It does shoot ok however. At some point the stock has unfortunately been sanded and refinished. Gun is matching numbers. Overall a decent example of a less than common Enfield variant.
