Arisaka Type 44 Carbine 6.5x50

Early version I, Type 44 carbines were built to a higher standard, and this one shows it. Receiver, bolt, and the rare Dust Cover are all matching. Bayonet is not matching which is common for Japanese type44 rifles since bayonets were produced separately. In fact, matching dust covers are extremely uncommon for type 44 as most were lost or replaced. 6.5 x 50 Jap. 

Condition is Excellent to Very Good. Stock is very clean, a few dents in the safe. Metal retains nearly perfect original bluing  which is not often seen on Japanese wartime small arms. Mum has two light strike-through lines but remains mostly intact. Bore is bright and sharp with strong rifling. Smooth trigger and bolt.
