*SPF* RARE Valmet M.H1950 "Lion" O/U 12 Gauge

For sale is a well-preserved and robust Valmet Model M.H1950 Over/Under shotgun, proudly manufactured by Valmet in Helsinki, Suomi (Finland). Known for their high-quality build and reliability, these "Lion" branded shotguns are becoming increasingly sought after by collectors and shooters who appreciate classic European craftsmanship.

This is quite rare to find these days. This is the original and predecessor to the 212. Based on the serials it would be placed around 1950-1952.

Features:

• Gauge & Chamber: 12 Gauge, chambered for 2 3/4" shells.

• Action: Solid and reliable break-action O/U design. Locks up tight.

• Distinctive Marking: Features the original M. H1950 model designation and the classic Valmet Lion logo on the receiver.

• Wood Stock: Classic European walnut stock and forend. The furniture shows honest wear and character, as expected for a vintage field gun. Checkering is worn. Two small cracks in forestock previously repaired and holding strong.

• Fixed Chokes: This model typically features fixed chokes, often Modified/Full (or similar field configuration), making it an excellent all-around choice for trap, skeet, and upland bird hunting. (Buyer to verify actual chokes).

• Condition: Excellent mechanical condition. Metal finish shows signs of use and patina commensurate with its age (visible blueing wear on the receiver edges and barrels, as seen in photos). Original bluing has worn - see photos.
