Cleaning out the safe!

Selling my Stoeger M3020 20 gauge semi-automatic shotgun. Originally purchased as a new waterfowl gun to try out a 20 gauge but I decided to stick with my 12 gauge. That said, this gun performs wonderfully and shoots like a breeze, 12 gauge is just my personal preference.

The Stoeger M3020 is an inertia-driven semi-automatic shotgun, meaning there are no gas pistons to worry about gunking up and having to clean extra frequently. The spring mechanism in the tube handles all of the recoil for you and to clean you only need to wipe and lubricate the spring system. After purchasing I did an intial break down and deep clean of all the components, including the recoil spring, oiled and put it back together. I then broke it in with a few heavy loads (3 inch shells through the Improved Cylinder choke), then took it for one round of trap with the medium choke. I have 0 issues cycling the lighter 20ga target loads after breaking it in and the recoil was honestly similar to my 22lr. After that round of trap I did another round of cleaning and oil and she's been sitting pretty in the safe since, ready to go again.
