This is a 1901 Paker GH Grade Hammerless 16 gauge sxs shotgun with 2 5/8” chambers (but will accept and has been designed to use 2 ¾” shells according to a number of Parker experts). Barrels are a hair under 28” long. Serial numbers on stock, barrels and fore-stock match. If you were imagining a perfect original Parker for upland gunning, this would be it.
The action is tight with no signs of looseness. Barrels ring true. Bores are bright and shiny with no signs of pitting or rust. Wood is fantastic, and has been well taken care of. Tang safety with double triggers. Barrels are original length as per the letter from the PGCA. Scratches and handling marks consistent with age and regular use. Small chip at bottom of butt plate.
The GH model was considered a Parker Brothers mid grade shotgun. The wood pattern of the stock is consistent with catalog images of GH models. The barrels are Damascus steel and the entire gun has the original finish (ie. No sign of any restoration work on this gun). Letter from the Parker Gun Collectors Association (PGCA) will be provided with the gun.
